The rarest of creatures, Anne Hollander is a native Floridian originally from Naples, Florida. She moved fled to Orlando in 1995 to attend the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. She toiled and learned for many years as a Graphic Designer while nurturing her life-long love for Ceramics. Finally she escaped from the oppression of corporate life to follow her heart into Clayland…
Anne works out of her home studio where she creates handmade tiles by impressing natural, organic, and man-made materials she scavenges from her environment to create patterns in the clay. The finished tiles are randomly broken and placed back together to form stunning images with depth, texture and gleam. Anne makes both functional and decorative pieces that can be hung on a wall, propped in a corner or even custom installed in your home! Anne’s colorful and whimsical pieces take many days to many weeks to create and each one is uniquely one of a kind.
